| My family has had a continuous relationship with Daylesford
for over 100 years. My Grand Father, the late Stanley A. Hollibone,
was a builder in the twenties who purchased some land in Sailors Falls
(Just before Daylesford on the Ballan Daylesford Road) and built himself
a Miners Style cottage to get away from the hustle and bustle of city
life. I celebrated my first birthday there and went on to spend many
a week from my school holidays at Sailors Falls. This event sowed
the seed for a life long love affair with the town.
This is the second time my family has entered the hospitality industry
in Daylesford with my Great Grand Father, the late
Walter Hollibone, being the Publican at the "Sailors Falls
Hotel" which we understand, was lost to a fire early last century.
